What Formstack does

Formstack is a workflow-focused forms, documents and signatures platform aimed at regulated industries. It pairs no-code form building with document generation, e-signatures, approvals and Salesforce-native components, with a strong compliance posture (HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2) that wins it deals in healthcare, finance and government.

Who it's for

Mid-market and enterprise teams in healthcare, financial services, education and government that need compliant forms and document workflows. Less of a fit for marketing-led surveys or for SMBs that don't have compliance pressure.

Pricing, in rough terms

Forms plans start around USD 50/month, Suite (Forms, Documents, Sign) higher and Enterprise custom, gated by forms, submissions, users and compliance features. Salesforce-native pricing is separate.

When Formstack is the right fit

Right when compliance, document workflows and approvals matter as much as the form itself. Wrong fit when you just need a quick survey or a polished customer-facing form - Typeform, Tally and Google Forms are simpler and cheaper.

Watch-outs

Compliance features (HIPAA BAA, advanced security) sit on specific plans - confirm before signing. Submission caps and per-app pricing add complexity to the bill. UI is functional but not as modern as newer competitors.
