CRM platform
Attio - the practical guide.
Attio is a modern, data-driven CRM with a Notion-style feel. It auto-enriches contacts and companies from email signatures and the public web, treats lists and views as first-class objects, and lets you model your data the way your business actually works rather than forcing you into Lead-Contact-Account orthodoxy. It's become the default 'cool CRM' choice for fast-moving B2B startups and is steadily moving up market.
What Attio does
The base product covers contacts, companies, deals and custom objects, with powerful list views, filters and group-bys that feel closer to a database than a traditional CRM. Email and calendar sync builds the timeline automatically; an AI research assistant fills in firmographic and people data on the fly.
Workflows let you automate routing, enrichment and lifecycle changes; Reports give you dashboards across any object and view; the developer platform exposes a clean API and webhooks. Notable for product teams: Attio is one of the few CRMs you can genuinely treat as a flexible CDP for go-to-market data without a heavy implementation.
Who it's for
Fast-moving startups, founder-led B2B sales teams, investor and BD pipelines, recruiting and PLG motions where a flexible relational data model matters more than out-of-the-box marketing or service. Particularly strong for technical founders who want a CRM they can shape, query and integrate on their own terms.
Pricing, in rough terms
Per seat per month, billed annually, across Free, Plus, Pro and Enterprise. Free supports small teams; Plus is around USD 29 per seat, Pro around USD 59, with Enterprise negotiated. There are no separate Hubs or Clouds - one product, feature limits per tier - which makes pricing easier to forecast than HubSpot or Salesforce.
When Attio is the right fit
The right call when the team is technical, the sales motion is non-standard (PLG, investor, recruiting, partnerships), and you'd rather have a flexible model than packaged marketing automation. Also strong for ops-led teams that want to build their own workflows and integrations rather than buy them. Less obvious when you want a polished marketing or service product alongside the CRM, or when enterprise governance and audit are non-negotiable.
Watch-outs
Flexibility is a double-edged sword - Attio rewards a thoughtful initial setup and punishes free-for-all object design. Define your data model before you let the team loose. Enterprise governance (SCIM, granular permissions, advanced audit) is improving but still maturing, so check current capability against your security requirements before signing for a large team.
